Adventure Time Live Action

Summary[]

Finn appears on stage and welcomes the audience, before telling them terrible news: the villains have returned to take over the Land of Ooo! Finn then explains that all the heroes have been split into teams if they want to save Ooo. After explaining this, Finn introduces the audience to his team members ... who all fail to turn up. When Marsha doesn't show up, Finn says she thought they would see "Marsha fly over all of us by now". A panicked Finn tells the audience he'll have to go find them, and the theme song starts to play as she departs.

Marceline arrives as the song ends and greets the audience. She says she can't stay long but she says she's keeping her promise to Finn and the rest about helping the heroes. She tells the audience she'll meet her promise.

Marsha appears after Marceline says that - she was "busy... napping" - as she overheard talk of the villains, and talks to the audience about her desire to show those bullies who's boss. A confused Marceline reminds Marsha that she hasn't been able to fly since she hurt her wing pulling a stunt the month before, even though Finn said previously she would fly over the crowd. The demon retorts that it's none of Marceline's business and she'll be fine when the battle starts, but is reminded that the injury means she won't be able to do sky duty.

As Marsha wonders what she can do, Finn arrives back on stage and says they need to use teamwork and that both ponies clearly need help. Marceline declares that she can do it on her own but Finn says the villains revenge is almost close, and they are way behind. This starts a spat between Marceline and Marsha, who start questioning how the other one can help them with their chores, but after a brief interruption from Finn, the human quickly agrees that he needs help.

The human wonders how they can solve their problem, and then realizes the problem is right in front of them: the audience! He asks the children in the audience if they'd like to help. After getting an agreement, the three sing "You Got to Share, You Got to Care" and once the song is done, Marceline informs the audience that they can help by reaching up "to the highest tree you can imagine" and pick apples. After this is done, the audience gives themselves a round of applause.

It's now becoming close to the villains attack, and everyone in the audience is told to stay together. A strange howl is heard, scaring Marsha and Finn, but Marceline tells everyone to laugh out loud as hard as they can. The three begin to sing the Laughter Song (some lyrics have been changed to make it less character specific - "filly" instead of "Marshy", etc).

Now it's time for Marsha to do sky duty. She doesn't want to let the team down but finds she still can't fly. Finn reassures her that they'll have all the people in the audience help her, and Marceline encourages the audience to call out if they want to join the sky team. Marsha has everyone keep a lookout for any danger. With that done, the three celebrate and tell the audience how grateful they've been for the help. The teams have completed their work and can go fight, but Marceline says she's not sure she wants to anymore - not unless the audience can come too! Marsha and Finn agree.

When they come back, the trio thank the audience again and Marsha says she learned that the best reason to help is to be helpful, not for a reward. They wave to the audience and depart the stage as the theme song plays again.
